Elizabeth is from the land of sweets, Kirsten is Clara, Cecile is a snowflake, and down on the floor, Felicity and Gwen are ready to take the stage as the Nutcracker Prince and the Mouse King.

And you may have noticed a new girl, yet to be named (though I’m leaning toward Amethyst)!

She cost twice as much as a regular American Girl doll, but she has glitter around her eyes and pierced ears and her outfit has Swarovski crystals. She is a limited edition (mine is number 2707 of 5000), and I love her. Her hair and eyes are gorgeous, and Courtney’s arrival has made all my girls excited about earrings.

New (and some less new) BeForever Outfits

I picked up all the new BeForever outfits a few weeks ago, immediately after they were released.  Now they’re all on sale for about 20% off.  Sigh.  But these photos I took may benefit some of you who are thinking about grabbing these items now that they are on sale.  I was gonna post a really clever story about all of them, but I ran out of energy.  I’m pretty sure I have pneumonia, because everything inside my rib cage is aching as if I’ve done hours of heavy lifting (I haven’t).

There are some really great outfits in this set.  My first thoughts were “nice, but I wish they didn’t cost so much.”  The sale prices make them just about right.  Not exactly a bargain (like $55 Julie doll from the today show), but a fair price.  I wonder how long these “limited edition” outfits will be around.  I’m also surprised Caroline and Josefina got left out for this release.  Are they on their way out?  While I would be sad to see them go, I hear we’re getting new historical characters soon!  We’ll talk more about that later.  So long for now!

Field Trip with Isabelle!

Today I went to the Olympic Ballet Theatre’s production of the Nutcracker.  I brought Isabelle.

We commuted down on Thursday, and Isabelle looked super adorable:

Her ballet bag is from the Maplelea set called Pirouettes and Plies.  Isabelle had to pack for an overnight trip, and this bag worked great!

Forever Cecile. Forever Marie-Grace.

2 dolls, 1 story.  Cecile and Marie-Grace are special, and they were with us for such a short time.  But they are so elegant!  I’m going to miss them so much.  I really doubt their collections will be returning any time soon.

Enough sadness.  How about some photos?

New Clothes! An Afternoon at the Park! A Great Day!

I went to the American Girl store yesterday to check out the new BeForever stuff.  That by itself made for a happy day.  Then after the store my mommy and I went to the park to play dress up with the Samantha I brought and my mom’s Samantha and her doll named PJ.

I watched Isabelle’s movie!

I watched Isabelle’s movie, and I liked it.  There was dancing.  There were dresses.  I loved Isabelle’s Nutcracker look, and I wish they would make that outfit for dolly Isabelle.
