Zelia and I have matching jackets. It’s World Cup time, so it seemed fitting to wear it.
And I’ll add a couple photos of Zelia at the beach:

Merry Christmas! Hearts for Hearts Zelia would like to show off my nativity:
For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Savior, which is Christ the Lord.
And this shall be a sign unto you; Ye shall find the babe wrapped in swaddling clothes, lying in a manger.
And suddenly there was with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host praising God, and saying,
Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace, good will toward men (Luke 2:11-14)

Rahel is one of my favorite Hearts for Hearts girls. I love her short curly hair.
I could say more about how much I love her, but I’m short on time. I’m walking the half marathon in Seattle today, so I actually prepared this post in the few spare minutes I had before work yesterday.

It’s time for another Hearts for Hearts Girl! This is Nahji, and she is the doll that made me fall in love with the entire Hearts for Hearts line. She has a nose ring and a henna tattoo! I find that pretty amazing. And I read a review on amazon from a mom whose 3-year-old daughter wanted to have a Nahji birthday party. The mom called the company and they gave her tons of ideas for an Indian-themed birthday party. For a 3-year-old. Love it.
I took Nahji’s photo yesterday at the same time as Mosi’s. Still cold outside.

Most of the reviews I have read about Hearts for Hearts Mosi are negative. While her boots and hair-feather are cheesy plastic, she still is above average for a $30 doll from Target. She looks really sad in this photo, but I think that’s just because it’s only 27 degrees outside.

Meet my first Hearts for Hearts Girl Lilian. Well, I s’pose technically I bought her and Nahji at the same time. I had a heard about the dolls a few months earlier, and was slightly interested in the concept, but when I saw them in person I was immediately in awe. They have so much detail for a doll that you can buy at Target. Lilian is wearing a blouse, a vest, leggings, earrings and a headband. She is from Belarus. I read a review on Amazon describing a 3-year-old who says “my dolly is from Belarus”. How cute is that?
And here’s a photo from the night I bought her, still in her box.
Don’t you love them? I’m excited to have all the Hearts for Hearts girls, but I kinda hope they don’t put out any more–I’m running out of room on their shelf.

Meet Hearts for Hearts Girl Lauryce. She is from New Orleans. She’s Creole. I don’t know much about the Creole, but I plan to learn more when I go to New Orleans in January! For now, to me Creole means blond hair, tan skin, and honey-colored eyes, which all add up to the absolutely stunning Lauryce. She is wearing the closest thing to a Halloween costume that I could come up with for her tiny body. It’s a hat I bought in Disneyland this spring. I planned on giving it to the American Girls, but it fits these girls much better.

Today we meet Dell from Hearts for Hearts. When I first saw Dell, I HATED her clothes, but as it turns out I love her. Her face, freckles, and eyes lured me in. All Hearts for Hearts girls have a cause, and I think Dell’s cause is out-of-work coal miners in Appalachia?
Here’s the closeup of the face I fell in love with:
And since Dell loves music:
